By default, email accounts can only be managed by users with the manage_options capability. With the User Accounts addon, two new capabilities are introduced that enable users with the said capabilities to be able to view and manage email accounts.
The capabilities are:
- read_email_accounts: Enables a specific user or user role to view email accounts.
- manage_email_accounts: Enables a specific user or user role to manage email accounts.
To assign this capabilities to a user or user role, you can use a plugin such as User Role Editor.
If you assign a user or user role the manage_email_accounts capability, please enable the ‘Email Account Management’ option in the addon’s settings page.
