Basically, the addon adds a domain to your email server and manage DNS records in Cloudflare if enabled. However, this behaves differently depending on whether the Custom Server Configuration Addon is enabled.
In this article, the term:
- Network email server refers to the server configured in the main plugin’s settings. (Network wide).
- Subsite email server refers to the server configured in the Custom Configuration Addon settings.
If the Custom Server Configuration addon is enabled, the domain is added to the subsite email server, not to the network email server.
Note: If a domain was added when the custom server configuration addon was enabled, then the addon was later on disabled, you cannot use the domain to create an email account unless it is also added to the network email server.
